TOP TOURIST PLACES IN RANGAREDDY DISTRICT
1.  Ramoji Film City - Theme Park
The Ramoji Film City, situated in the Rangareddy District, is a film studio complex, equipped with comprehensive facilities for filmmaking,that attracts a large number of producers towards it. Guided tours of the complex are provided for visitors. It also comprises an area that hosts reconstructions from the Mauryan era.

3.  Osmansagar - Dam & Picnic spot
The Osmansagar Dam is one of the biggest dams in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This dam was constructed across River Musi, in 1920. This dam is a popular site due to its surrounding gardens and placid expanse of water.
4.  Maheshwaram- Religious Place
Maheshwaram is a popular pilgrimage centre situated in the Rangareddy District. The main attraction of the place is the ruins of an ancient Shiva temple. Apart from this temple, the place also comprises two fortresses namely Shiva Ganga and Vishnu Ganga, along with a Kacheri House of Akkanna and Madanna and four ministers of the Bhaktha Ramdas era; as well as the Kodanda Ramalayam and the Shivaji Durgam. Every edifice present at this place can be dated back to more than 500 years. The smaller temples of Maheshwaram are known for their exquisite sculptures and detailed carvings
5.  Chilkur- Village and Religious Place
The Village of Chilkur is a small village situated in the premises of Himayath Sagar Lake of Rangareddy District. This village is not only a scenic spot, but is also a religious site due to the presence of a large Balaji temple at the place. Situated close to the Sagar Lake, the temple is an ancient one and is dedicated to Lord Balaji. Chilkur is also home to a National Deer Park, which was established with the purpose of protecting and nurturing the fauna of this region.
6.  Sanghi - Religious Place
Sanghi is a temple complex built by the Sanghi Family, in the Rangareddy District. This temple has been built completely in marble and was sculpted by the renowned craftsman Sri Ganapathy Stapathy. This temple complex, collectively called as `Paramanandagiri, comprises temples of Lord Hanuman, Lord Rama, Lord Ganesha, Lord Venkateshwara, Lord Kartikeya, Goddess Durga and Goddess Ashtalakshmi.
7.  Durgam Cheruvu - Lake & Picnic spot
Durgam Cheruvu is another significant lake of the Rangareddy District. This lake is the most unspoilt and the quietest one in the region. Its surroundings include unique rock mounds, whose presence here marks the boundaries of the plateau of this lake. The Cheruvu or the lake is also a popular weekend getaway for the urban population. Boat rides, video games and food stalls are other options for spending time here
8.  Shilparamam - Theme Village
Shilparamam is an architecturally significant village of the Rangareddy District. This village is spread over a total area of 50 acres and is situated in the town of Madhapur, which is also known as the Hi-tech city. This village displays ancient and exquisite arts and crafts of the state of Andhra Pradesh, as well as of India. This village has been involved in the task of promoting the talent of Indian artisans. A vast variety of handicrafts are sold in this village directly by the craftsmen. The village also houses an amphitheatre for folk arts, where daily performances are held to encourage and display the cultural, artistic and aesthetic heritage of India.
9.  Keesaragutta - Religious Place
Keesaragutta is a unique hillock situated in the district of Rangareddy, which is famous for being home to a thousand Shiva Lingams. This hillock is famous as one of the places where Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva. An ancient temple is also present within its premises, which comprises a unique sand sculpture in its sanctum sanctorum. An archaeological museum is also present near this temple, that contains artefacts dating back to the 4th century AD.
10.  Ocean Park - Theme Park
Ocean Park is an amusement and water theme park, located in the centre of the plateau of Rangareddy District. This water park offers activities like sliding, rafting and carousels in the wave pool. It is spread over 20 acres of landscaped gardens and is a popular weekend gateway for the urban population, being situated just 15 km away from the state capital of Hyderabad.
11.  Shamirpet - Lake & Picnic spot
The Shamirpet Lake is a huge lake situated in the Shamirpet Mandal of Rangareddy City. It lies at a distance of 42 km from Hyderabad and is a famous weekend gateway providing fresh air and solitude. Several guest houses present near this lake also facilitate accommodation for the tourists that come to the place.
12.  Anantagiri Hills - Picnic spot
Anantagiri Hills are popular sightseeing as well as picnic spots in the Rangareddy District. These hills form a part of the Anantagiri Hill Range and are a popular hill station and an upcoming summer resort. This place mainly comprises ancient cave like structures and several bathing ghats. It is also home to the Ananthaswamy Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Ananta Padhmanabha and is considered to have been built many centuries ago, by a Muslim king. This temple also depicts instances of the past of this land. Surroundings of these hills comprise thick forests providing a salubrious climate to the place.
13.  Himayath Sagar - Picnic spot
The Himayath Sagar is a picturesque picnic spot situated at 24 km distance, from the city of Hyderabad. The word sagar associated with this lake means ocean in Sanskrit and describes well, the massive expanse of water in it. The water of this lake is also placid and unpolluted due to which it largely serves the purpose of drinking water for the twin cities of Andhra Pradesh.
14.  Runway-9 - Sport Gokarting
Runway-9 is another significant attraction of the Rangareddy District, popular for adventure sports. This place provides India's first state-of-the-art go-karting facility. This place is spread over a total area of 5 acres in Kompally, on the National Highway 7. Runway-9 has a full scale 711 m of concrete track, that conform to International Standards. This track is attached to a huge grandstand that includes a club house comprising multiple restaurants, pool parlours, archery range and a children play centre.
15.  Dhola Ri Dhani - Theme Village
The Dhola Ri Rani is a popular and unique resort, situated 22 km away from the city of Hyderabad. This resort has been built in the form of a Rajasthani village. Its premises comprise a temple and an amphitheatre of performing arts, called the Ghoomar-Jhoomar. Apart from this, it also has a swimming pool in the form of a Kund and the Maan Manuhar, which is a chowki style restaurant serving ethnic cuisines. This restaurant also has a dance floor and an artefact shop.
